Team Rules

Meet and Practice Expectations

• Athletes are selected for either the varsity or JV team before each meet based on ability, attitude, and practice attendance.
• Practice is Monday - Friday at 2:00 and attendance is mandatory.
• If you are at school, you are expected to be at practice. If you are at school and you miss practice, you may be ineligible to compete that week. Please schedule after school appointments before or after practice time. Coaches will stay late to accommodate after school tutoring and clubs.
• If you are absent from school due to illness please notify your event coach via email, text, or phone call. Messages from friends are not acceptable.
• Most of our meets have strict entry limits. Please notify coaches in writing at the beginning of the season identifying any meets in which you are unable to participate in.
• Varsity athletes: April 16th (Districts), May 2nd (Regionals), and May 8th (State) need to be cleared on your calendar. If you cannot clear those three dates, please contact Coach Brigman immediately.

Transport Rules

• Can my student drive to a Meet? Yes, if the meet is in Okaloosa County. 2. Can my student transport other students to a Meet? No. 3. May I leave a Meet early? You must notify Coach Brigman in writing. You may not leave early for the State Series Meets (Districts/Regionals/State). 4. May I drive my student home from an away Meet? Yes, but notify Coach Brigman 5. May I drive another student home from an away Meet? Only with written permission from that athlete's parent/guardian.

• We will closely adhere to the most current OCSD attendance policies that are in place.
